The arrival of megaplex multiple cinemas over recent decades has brought about a significant change in the very concept of cinema. Often, emphasis had been placed on glamorous interiors, but design today aims, above all, at the functionality of the area, and it is its lighting that has the task of creating special atmospheres, even using special effects. An example of the latter can be seen in the project designed by the architects of the Figgubaggi Design Association studio on an historic hall in the Norwegian city of Bergen.
